The Worst Prank Ever: Downton Abbey (the real Highclere Castle) is Becoming a Luxury Hotel
A couple weeks ago, Gadling posted that Highclere Castle, home to the Crawley clan on the famed television series, “Downton Abbey” has been sold to a hotel investment company that says they are planning to turn the estate into a luxury hotel. Apparently this was just nothing more than a mean April Fool’s Day joke!
They came up with a brilliant plan. The staff’s quarters were going to be remade into the hotel’s restaurant, which would of course serve up classic English cuisine. It could never compete with Miss Padmore’s fare anyway!
Who else would book a room at Downton Abbey besides me? Let me know in the comments below. Feel free to share any other thoughts on the show too! I am obsessed!
