Who, What, WerYoo–My New Favorite Photo-Editing App
Happy Hour is an institution in New York City. Every day when the clock strikes 5 co-workers flee their offices, friends cross town to meet friends to throw back a couple cocktails and forget the horrors of their 9-5’s. With endless options in New York City of where to imbibe, half the fun is discovering new Happy Hour spots and photographing them for my readers. So when I was asked by WerYoo to check out some of Thrillist’s top Happy Hour spots to try out their new app out, I was obviously thrilled–photos, trying new places, AND free drinks? Color me happy!
I was just in on this project for the free drinks to be honest–at first. But after using the app I have to say its photo-editing capabilities are fantastic. Far better and more advanced than simple filters/focus controls on Instagram. The editing tools include options to sharpen, focus, adjust brightness, add contrast, saturate, crop or apply one of thirteen effects if you’re just looking for a cool filter.
It’s also neat because you can find photos from other people nearby in real-time–i.e. find out where your friends are boozing, what they’re drinking and stop on by! Get the app and see what you think.
