The Best Breastfeeding Pillow – Trust Me I Tried Them All!
One perk of being a blogger is that you get a ton of stuff for free. The downside is that then you have to try it all out and living in a Manhattan apartment that’s not big, all I ever want to do is figure out which product is the best so I can send the others back or donate them (depending on what they are).
When I was breastfeeding, I was sent two different pillows. I was sent a Boppy and I was sent the Bébé au Lait breastfeeding pillow for free. The Boppy that I received did not have a strap and was constantly falling forward leaving my daughter to drop into my lap. The Bébé au Lait was way to high (and I’m 5″6 so not a short person). It left my daughter at a really funny height that wasn’t ideal for feeding.
So I went to a lactation consultant and my mom bought me the My Brest Friend.
It’s the perfect pillow because it provides back support and puts your baby exactly where you need him or her to be. It also has a strap that keeps it in place. There is also a nifty little pouch attached where you can put a bottle of water or nipple cream. The covers are removable so you can pop them in the wash when necessary.
Boppy recently came out with the Boppy Best Latch Nursing Pillow, which we have heard good things about but never tried. One side is firm and the other is softer and more snuggly so you can choose the support you need.
